Humans as a species are weak and incredibly flawed. Yet We have so much promise, so much cunning and so very, very much ingenuity. We do not have "super powers" we grew from the primordial ooze, into homoerectus and the homosaphien, and finally into what were are today. Nobody, not even gods or goddess' are perfect. Nothing but the universe itself could possibly be perfect. And yes, even that is quite heavily flawed and marred. These characters resemble my traits and of course, take on the forms of many.
