Personality: Charming and charismatic, Selwyn is absolutely one hell of a casanova. He is dripping with confidence and pride in himself, and you simply cannot insult him and bring him down. He's a drop of sunshine if ever there were one. He's the friend that truely absolutely cares about you, and will always, without fail, be there for you. He often takes an exceptional amount of time out of his own day to help others, and most especially, strangers. Though he isnt an idiot and can tell when not to help, or to hinder, the right people.

Bio: Selwyn was born into poverty on the streets of London. Shortly after his birth, his parents were murdered quite horrifically by none other than the infamous jack the ripper. Or so the story went. he was then placed into a rather excruciatingly cheerful orphange. There, he made up with the entirely wrong crowd and followed them around like a lost puppy, learning not only how to easily nick an unwatchful ladies purse, but how to make his way across the roofs and through the alleys at an exceptionaly speedy pace. Soon enough he was in school, where he was given The Test. This was to see weather or not he had magic lying dormant within him. The boy was quite excitable as he had always been fascinated by his elven friends whom could so easily cast spells and made wonderful, magical art. It was then discovered, that while apparently, none of his family blood line had ever had magic within them or shown any signs of containing the art, he was quite powerfully aligned with the element of lightning. However he also came to have an exceptional attachment to the elemental arts in general. And thus he began his training to be the best mage the land had ever seen! Though he always knew he could never make a better sorcerer than a sylph or elf. And then at 14 he had his first taste of beer as he worked at a pub in westminster. Entranced by the drink, within his next two years he decided two things. He wanted to be an airship captain and owner, and run a pub of his own. It soon came to pass that he got enough money to travel the world in search of ingredients with a band of merchants.

As it turned out this was not to be. They were sky pirates, and they abandoned them in the desert. The Sahara to be quite exact. All would have been lost had he not crawled his way into an abandoned temple. A temple to the egyptian god Ra. Whom apparently, was quite real, and quite immortal. He gifted Selwyn, unleashing powers that would have forever lain dormant within him were it not for his touch. That, and he restored him to proper health. And all he asked was that he use his power for good. With that, Selwyn set off, proper this time, on his journey. He collected his ingredients, and in india he comissioned an airship be made. It was massive and doubled as both a pub, his home, and a brewery. He called it The Growler and he began to travel the skies and the world not only just selling his...wares, but exploring and spreading the light of Ra, unknowingly, wherever he went. As a side effect of Ra's touch, he tended to, light up the room he was in. Not literally. He just made people quite a bit more cheery and vanquished, flushed, and drained their rather bad thoughts.

Alt World: Imagine a world. Make it exactly like our own. Modern, 21st century inovations, idiots, hypocrites and whatnot, everywhere. Now, add the glory of mythos. Mythical creatures, furries of almost all different types, dragons, griffons, monsters, elves, dwarves the whole nine yards. And magic. Then make it so air travel is the most popular and safest mode of transport there is. Right next to the drastically expensive, buyable teleport spells from mages. Then add airships. So air travel has signifigantly evolved and it did so, ever since the invention of the blimp, and further once improvements upon that were made. All of our countries, cities and towns are there. Populated with not only humans, but everything inbetween. In addition. There are many isles, both in the sea, and mysteriously in the air, upon them are situated vast kingdoms from wherein most of these other races hail. That is the ideal setting for Selwyn.
